Japanese
Students in Years 2-6 at Treendale Primary School learn Japanese. Our Japanese program focuses on developing language learning strategies, exposes our students to authentic Japanese experiences and encourages the development of cultural empathy.
Students are exposed to all aspects of the Japanese language including developing speaking and listening skills as well as learning to read and write the Japanese hiragana alphabet.
Learning opportunities include the use of information technology, song, dance, role play, cooperative and competitive games and interacting with native speakers of Japanese. The depth of their language learning is developed through cross curricular links with other learning areas.
